In recent years, few racing enthusiasts will have failed to notice that sim racing is becoming increasingly important in real-world motorsports. Tim Heinemann, recently a DTM driver for Toksport WRT, is considered one of the best examples of this rapid rise of sim racing. Like many other racers, Tim Heinemann has been swearing on our products for years and uses the predecessor of the currently available F64-USB/SC V3 steering wheel. He utilizes this to prepare for various racing series and thus also in the context of the 2023 DTM season.

As Tim Heinemann is the first racing driver to make the leap from sim racing to the DTM, we are of course particularly proud that he trusts in our steering wheels and that we are allowed to equip him. His career initially took off thanks to several strong victories in various sim racing championships and competitions, which allowed Tim to test real race cars over time and, among others, convinced ex-pro Bernd Schneider, known as Mr. DTM. In the following years, he was able to demonstrate his skills more and more frequently through further successes, until he finally achieved his breakthrough with the championship victory in the DTM Trophy 2020. He was able to repeat his success in the GTC Race in 2021, as well as in 2022 when he once again dominated the DTM Trophy and became a commanding champion.

Tim also made a splash in his first year of DTM thanks to two second places in the first two rounds of the series, which made the rookie the overall championship leader.

Always with him at the track: Tim Heinemann's TrackTime 3motion simulator with Ascher Racing F64-SC V3 and 5" dashboard, which he uses to prepare for the upcoming sessions.  Thanks to motorsport-proven shift paddles (Magnet Shifter) made of aluminum, clutches with bite-point-calibration and the rubberized grips, he has the best conditions for new top performances - even in nerve-racking situations.
